My name is Renjie Abraham. I'm originally from the Philadelphia area. In 2003, I graduated from Trinity International University with a BA in Biblical Studies. Currently, I'm working on MA's in Teaching and Mental Health Counseling.
I taught middle school Math for five and a half years at Restoration Academy, a private school in Fairfield, Alabama. In doing so, I cultivated a passion for reaching the underprivileged in our society. Math content is but one of any number of areas in which I can help broken people become more whole. My desire to help people stems from God's desire to help me. I have been given freely and so I am freed to give freely.
I'm very comfortable with technology. I love my iPhone, MacBook Air, and Kindle 3. :) As a grad student, my tools of choice are OpenOffice, Preview, Evernote, Dropbox, Google Calendar, and Toodledo. For personal use, I regularly use Google Docs, Wordpress, Facebook, Twitter, foursquare, RunKeeper, and Skype. For teaching, I have used tablet PC's, Wacom tablets, projectors, Office, OneNote, GoBinder, SketchUp, Geogebra, Geometer's Sketchpad, Camtasia Studio, Jing, YouTube, Google Docs, and Blogger.
From the look of the syllabus, it seems that I'll pick up even more tools and skills. I also hope to create content that I can reuse in future teaching.
Hey, Renjie!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a joy knowing you and hearing your heart about the needs of others. My prayer is that you become fully equipped to rise to the challenges that break the heart of God.
Much Love!
Pam
